ELLE magazine targets 18-25 year olds and perhaps older. The front cover of this magazine features a very sexy saucy picture of a woman. Although usually there is alwyas a picute of a woman on the front cover this picture is quite revealing and sexy.

YOUR ULTIMATE SWIMSUIT ISSUE...the use of the word 'you' emphasises the readers feelings and involvment with the magazine....making them feel more aware and at ease of one of the taglines of the magazine. The woman on the front cover is a very attractive striking blonde woman. A medium close up shot can be seen in which her face and upper body is shown. There is also quite some emphasis on the womans breasts and her silver jewellery matches her bold, sheek striking look.


The masthead is cleverly positioned so that the womans head is in the middle of ELLE, this not only emphasises the womans head but it always puts us as the potential buyer/reader of the magazine at ease as it makes the woman feel me physically attatched to the title.
